So this morning at ECC in the 2nd service, Renee Rutledge (one of our Celebrate Recovery ministers) reminded me of a verse we read this past week…
Matthew 7:17-20
“Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.”
YIKES….
There are so many times…daily…that I wonder, “am I producing ANY fruit?…am I making a difference?…am I causing anyone else to stray?…am I truly producing GOOD fruit or am I producing bad fruit?”
If I am “recognized” by the fruit that I bear…I wonder how others see me???
Do folks see good fruit from my life? I wonder……..
I want to be a good tree…producing good fruit…making a difference!!!!!
That is my prayer for the week…
